Data controller and contact details
The data controller is Roberto Parato, a self-employed professional holding an Italian VAT number, trading as Roberto Chef. Italian VAT 01621570520, domicile at Località Stazione di Castelnuovo Berardenga 7/B, 53041 Asciano (SI), Italy. Data collected
The controller processes identity and contact data, billing and payment information, booking details, venue address, communications, images when authorised, and dietary information strictly required for the service. Medical certificates are not requested and personal data is not sold.
Purposes and legal grounds
Enquiries and bookings are processed to take pre-contractual steps and perform the contract; invoices and records are processed to comply with legal duties; security and fraud prevention rely on legitimate interests. Name and billing address are also used, to perform the contract, to have the grocery receipts made out to you when Roberto shops in your name. Marketing and recognisable images require consent. Dietary information that may reveal health data is processed with explicit consent or another verified legal ground, with access and retention limited to what is necessary. Reviews published on Google are reproduced on this website with the author’s name and public text, on the basis of legitimate interest.
Recipients and international transfers
Access is limited to Roberto, to the people he has authorised in writing and instructed, and to the providers needed for hosting, database, email, messaging (WhatsApp, when you leave your phone number so Roberto can reply to a custom request), payments, maps and professional advice. For the groceries, shops receive only the name and billing address needed to make the purchase documents out to you. If you ask to be put in touch with an independent supplier (wine, flowers, rentals and similar), the supplier receives only the details needed for its offer and delivery. Villas and partners receive only information needed for the stay and access. They do not receive dietary details, payment data or marketing lists. Transfers outside the EEA use the safeguards required by applicable law.
How long data is kept
Unpaid booking drafts: 30 days.
Cancelled bookings: 365 days.
Completed bookings, communications and contractual evidence: 365 days, after which personal data is irreversibly anonymised; only non-personal data such as date, area, package, number of guests and amounts remains.
Kitchen photographs and individual dietary information: deleted within 30 days of the service, unless a documented need applies.
Accounting records and invoices: 10 years, as required by Article 2220 of the Italian Civil Code.
Technical and anti-fraud logs: up to 12 months, unless an investigation or dispute is open.
Marketing and images: until consent is withdrawn, reviewed at least every 24 months.
A period may be extended only in a documented case: an incident, a complaint, the exercise or defence of a legal claim, or another legal obligation, with limited access and review when it ends.
Your rights
You may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability where applicable, and may withdraw consent for future processing, by writing to hello@robertochef.com. You may also complain to the Italian Data Protection Authority.
Cookies
Strictly necessary technologies may operate without consent. This site carries no advertising pixels and no profiling tools: it measures its audience with tools that write no cookies, build no profile and do not follow you onto other sites.
