Which menu. The three dinners have different prices because the number of courses and the technique are different, not because one has more service than another: the service is identical. The three classes share one price list, and what moves it is two or three preparations.

How many of you. The per-person price falls as the group grows, because the drive, the planning and the setting up cost the same for three people as for fifteen. You always pay the higher of the minimum and the per-person total.

When. A high-season supplement applies to the chef service during the published dates. It is itemised before payment.

Where. Travel is included within a set drive time from Siena. Beyond it there is a stated cost, calculated on the actual route and shown before you pay; much further and we may ask for a room instead.
The full price list
Rates are shown per person and include the items listed below. Compare the rate for your group size with the service minimum: the higher amount becomes the booking total. Partners use the same public price list and do not add a separate mark-up. For the dinners, Roberto does the shopping for you, in your name. The groceries are not included in the price you pay online: on the day of the dinner you pay back what the receipts show, in cash or by bank transfer, at cost and with no mark-up. As a guide, the shopping usually starts at around €50 in total and often stays within €100; the exact amount depends on the menu and the number of guests.

Cooking classes: two or three preparations
One price list for all three classes, in two rows: what moves the price is how many preparations you make, not which class you choose. The service minimum is the same for both. In cooking classes everything is included: Roberto buys and brings all the ingredients for the lesson.

How much does a cooking class cost in Tuscany?
A private cooking class at your villa in Tuscany costs between €100 and €170 per person, depending on how many of you there are and whether you make two or three preparations. Four guests making three preparations pay €170 each; a group of ten making two pay €110 each. Every booking has a minimum of €500.

The price includes menu planning, preparation at the villa, the dinner service or the class, and cleaning of the kitchen and equipment used. In cooking classes the ingredients are included too. For dinners, Roberto does the shopping for you: the groceries are paid separately on the day of the dinner, at cost (usually from about €50 in total). Drinks, wine, flowers, rentals and table styling are separate. When requested, we can introduce an independent local supplier who will confirm their own price, terms and invoice directly with you.
How and when you pay
A 30 per cent deposit holds the date; the balance is due 14 days before.
Payment is online, by card or with a wallet: Apple Pay, Google Pay or Link. A deposit reserves the date, and the balance is taken 14 days before the service from the same method you used for the deposit. Payments are processed by Stripe in euro; any currency conversion is set by the card provider. Cancellation terms and the amount due are shown before payment, and an invoice is issued for the service. For a tailored order, or if you write to us first, we agree the method together, bank transfer included.
When a private chef is not the right choice

For a table of two, a good restaurant in Siena will usually cost less. A private chef becomes easier to compare for larger groups once transport, one shared table, children and the freedom to remain at the villa matter. For a smaller table, the reason to book is privacy and service rather than the lowest possible price.
